The lunch buffet was very good. The food was good and was colorfully presented. It wasn't too spicy. My host Sandy has a great personality and was very welcoming. The restaurant impressed me very much as it was bright and colorful. The silverware and china are of good quality which shows the planning of this restaurant.

I gave one less star for "service" and "atmosphere" categories only because I have not physically been there yet. The reason why I gave them four stars is because the food is amazing. I have not eaten anything bad from here and I have to say that despite ordering through DoorDash, my food has been received still warm. I will critique what I have eaten. The garlic and onion Naan are just so mouth watering. Manchurian chicken (noted as Indo-Chinese), this is nice crispy pieces of chicken in a red oily sauce that has flavor notes of lemon grass, maybe ginger, garlic, very savory and the right amount of tanginess. This was eaten with a side of Bismati rice. My daughter has Chicken Tikka Masala and felt that these dishes were made with love. I have to make it a point to go in one day. I gave the Service and Atmoshpere a 4/5 because I believe food this good had to come from somewhere good. Enjoy!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. Dosa Grill truly exceeded expectations today. We ordered the rava masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa, and chana bhatura — everything was brilliant, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. You can really tell the food is made with care and quality ingredients. The service was just as impressive. The waiter and the receptionist were phenomenal — attentive, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic South Indian food with great service, this is definitely a must-visit. Will absolutely be coming back.

My friend owns an Indian restaurant so I’m pretty spoiled & hard to please. This place met all my expectations. The service was genuinely good, they made me feel like a regular, it wasn’t fake guest service. Sandy was especially funny and interested in what I thought of the food. The food was spot on. Spice level as requested, deep flavor, & they have the Indian beers you can’t find elsewhere! A must try whether you’re an experienced Indian cuisine eater or new to try!

I stopped by Dosa Grill out of curiosity because I had never really tried Indian food before. It was a cold day, so I looked at the menu on my phone and decided to try the shrimp soup because I wanted something warm and comforting. I was not disappointed at all. The soup was very delicious and hit the spot. The outside of the location may not stand out right away, but don’t let that fool you. Inside, it feels like a hidden gem. The customer service was very nice and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I would definitely like to come back and try more food from here. I just don’t know much about Indian food yet, so I’m still learning what to order, but my first experience was very good.

You know a restaurant is good when every bite sends you back to a specific memory that you lived in that country. Our meal at the Dosa Grill had us effortlessly recalling travels for more than 10 years ago with every sip and bite. The service was kind and attentive, from asking us if we wanted our chapatis soft or crispy to checking if we wanted ice in our water. The fish tikka masala was perfectly balanced with the most tender fish, capturing all of the spices of the sauce whose savory notes were punctuated by the sweetness of the onion. The dosa, for which we got an appetizer size, was the largest one that I’ve ever seen, and came with amazing accompanying coconut and tomato dipping sauces and a fantastic onion lentil soup. In addition to many classic dishes that you see most Indian restaurants, we loved how we could get delicious street food like pani puri, where we poured tangy spiced water into puffed shells, already filled with chutney and chickpeas. The “non-Indian” regular spice level held us in its spiciness, allowing us to savor every bite without any need for Kleenex to wipe runny eyes or noses. It left a pleasant hum in our mouths to remind us of what we’d eaten. The tomato soup had deep rich tomato notes, and the chai tea was a spot of comfort. Lastly, the gulab jamun and jalebi, made from fermented flour and yogurt, were wonderful sweet notes to end the meal. We feel so lucky have such a delicious, fairly priced place open up in the Hudson Valley!

My friend and I went to Dosa Grill today, looking forward to a lunch buffet. Unfortunately they don’t serve that any more, so quite disappointed we were leaving. A wonderful and brilliant young man, Ashique, stopped us and suggested we look at pics of a Thali on his ipad! We were totally won over by his warmth, sweetness and ingenuity and decided to stay! And so glad we did! The chicken thali that we chose was magnificent! Delicious and filling! Of course, the graciousness of the host is what made it such a memorable experience! Thank you for making our day truly blessed!

Went in for lunch and got the lunch Thali (meaning platter). They have options for vegetable, chicken, or lamb. I went for the chicken and when my food came out I was in awe. The amount of food they give, the quality, and the price were all fare superior to my expectations. The service was super good as well as they were so kind and hospitable. Will be back again!
